Ok, this isn't near as impressive as many of the above images, but it's one of my favorite images I've personally taken. I feel like the composition gives it a real sense of the place.
hrm. I believe this is the first time I've tried to link an image here and I seem to have screwed it up, I hadn't intended t post a picture of nothing

I think what works best when posting an image from commons is to use the img tag and select a lower resolution image from a link that's listed under the photo on commons, like:
Code: Select all
[img]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/53/Trumpeterswanlohmerlk.jpeg/636px-Trumpeterswanlohmerlk.jpeg[/img]
And here's a protip. You can change the number in front of px in the url to any size that you want. Like

NGC 7026; apparently, in some circles it's called the Cheeseburger.
And I like the contribution from Beeblebrox.

Yes, but that only gives a link, not the actual picture. It requires people to make the effort to click.

It goes without saying that after pornography, the favourite topic on Commons is pictures of Wikipedians.

Does a cat's belled collar go with a French maid outfit and bunny ears? I guess we'll probably never find Chiharu (as that is her name) to ask.Poetlister wrote:File:French maid handing out flyers - Do bunny ears go with a French maid outfit ? Who cares, she's attractive. Also in Japan. The pink advertisement thing on the left is for a campaign to encourage blood donation. And it's back to front.
The beer ad says "The Premium Malts - super-creamy foam". (Not exactly sure what that is meant to mean.)

The cat's eye nebula. This is only the inner part; Commons doesn't seem to have an image of the faint outer parts.

I don't know if I'd call it "wondrous", but the upload history of Corn cheese (T-C-L) certainly paints a picture. A rather sad one.

According to his user page, "This editor is a Journeyman Editor and is entitled to display this Service Badge". That means he has 2,000 edits and 6 months of service. Indeed, he has been on Commons since 2012. However, he only has 603 edits on Commons (but over 12,000 on ENWP).
