Ok, this isn't near as impressive as many of the above images, but it's one of my favorite images I've personally taken. I feel like the composition gives it a real sense of the place.
hrm. I believe this is the first time I've tried to link an image here and I seem to have screwed it up, I hadn't intended t post a picture of nothing

I've been there on vacation.

I think what works best when posting an image from commons is to use the img tag and select a lower resolution image from a link that's listed under the photo on commons, like:

Code: Select all

[img]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/53/Trumpeterswanlohmerlk.jpeg/636px-Trumpeterswanlohmerlk.jpeg[/img]
Using the full resolution image is really an overkill, and if there's multiple full size images in a thread, it really slows down page loading.

And here's a protip. You can change the number in front of px in the url to any size that you want. Like

Yes, but that only gives a link, not the actual picture. It requires people to make the effort to click. :XD

Does a cat's belled collar go with a French maid outfit and bunny ears? I guess we'll probably never find Chiharu (as that is her name) to ask.

According to his user page, "This editor is a Journeyman Editor and is entitled to display this Service Badge". That means he has 2,000 edits and 6 months of service. Indeed, he has been on Commons since 2012. However, he only has 603 edits on Commons (but over 12,000 on ENWP).
