Stone maintained a blog for his first company, Genius Labs, that was nothing more than fanfic about wild projects the company was supposedly working on ("Japanese hybrid air travel or a project with the White House"). But once Stone joined Google, the company was listed — and has been since— as a big early acquisition for the then-growing startup. "Someone put it in Wikipedia, and once it was in Wikipedia, the New York Times reported that Google acquired Genius Labs, and then Wikipedia said, 'Great, we have a citation!' And it's in everything now. If you go through a chart of Google’s acquisitions, I'm in there, Genius Labs."
