Bhadani (T-C-L), who's been a wikipedia administrator since 2005, has
a new book out that's available on Amazon.
Bhadani describes his childhood, adolescence, and multidimensional adulthood, painting a vivid picture of India along the way. At the age of fifty-five, he began to engage seriously with the English version of Wikipedia, and that connection has profoundly changed his life.
This unusual memoir presents the personal narrative of an Indian bank officer who has made extensive contributions to Wikipedia since 2005.
Gangadhar Bhadani with Jimmy in Chennai, 2007

I hope his writing quality has improved since his
first edit to English Wikipedia.
Hmm... better, I guess -- but still
quite choppy.

Choppy because it is a cut-paste-and-move-it-around-a-bit copy of the only source cited, I suspect.

Many of these Indian editors do have rather choppy English. Still, to be fair, it's enterprising of them to try. Very few editors whose first language is English even attempt to contribute to any non-English Wikipedias. If there's anything of value in their contributions, there's always some helpful gnome to sort out the grammar.

Meanwhile, a Swede used a bot to make a Filipino language well on its way to becoming the largest Wikipedia, thanks to his Filipino wife.

Certainly the English-language Wikipedia needs to give some leeway to contributors for whom it isn't their first language. Bhadani however is an admin, and ought to know better than to create an article by copy-pasting a single source in such a manner.

oh but it's such a pleasant, avuncular tone. What's not to like?
Jharkhand and our Bank
Our Bank has five Zonal Offices located in Jharkhand, namely, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, Giridih and Hazaribagh and around 252 plus branches are under the jurisdiction of these 5 Zonal Offices. This translates into a whopping figure of about 10 % of our total branch network. A large number of current and former BOIians have served the geographical area now comprising the state of Jharkhand and a number of them have over a period of time rose to occupy eminent positions in our Bank. Our Bank’s association with the locations in Jharkhand state pre-dates independence and our first branch in the geographical area now comprising Jharkhand was opened way back on 2nd September 1938 at Jamshedpur. Originally, we were assigned Lead Bank responsibilities in 5 Districts, where our present Zonal Offices are located. Presently, we have 13 Lead Districts in Jharkhand and all our Lead Districts are also covered by Regional Rural Banks sponsored by our Bank.
