You are probably right here.

There's a lot to be said for an editor who goes around removing unsourced or poorly sourced rubbish. Of course, too much of a good thing can be damaging, if said editor doesn't know a reliable source when he sees one.

He edit warred to try to keep pejorative, mis-sourced information about a BLP subject in the article. If WP's administration had it's shite together, this guy/girl would have been banned long ago.

He certainly loves to remove stuff. The Eastern University article followed the shell of WikiProject:Universities, but he managed to prune it back severely: link

He is a very good Wiki-lawyer and an accomplished troll. I'll let you decide whether his background is Indian, it seems likely due to all the editwars over bios of Indian politicians, academic figures etc. and his shaky English writing skills, indicating it is a second language. He was also deeply involved in the Rupert Sheldrake article, and was restricted from editing it last December. Despite all that, he's never been blocked, so he must have a number of administrator friends. They keep erasing his userpage, a dead giveaway.
