Seraphimblade - what a greasy little squid

I've never seen that level of oily text from wikipedians.
And he's soooo brave there.

Seraphimblade? Complete nobody, and noted "BLP extremist". Classic "evil patroller".
His primary "claim to fame" is that he hated Daniel Brandt, and ran around attacking anyone who tried to delete Brandt's BLP.

Plus, this little exchange is legendary.

If it helps, he's blocked hundreds of accounts improperly or for no damn detectable reason.

I was appalled by his views on Jimbo's page. He is crying out for law enforcement attention.

All you need to know about Seraphimblade can be summed up with this single link http://toolserver.org/~tparis/pages/ind ... oredirects. On Wikipedia since 2005, 23k+ edits (with only 26% in article space, rest spent on facebookin' and politickin') and he's only managed to create 11 articles in all this time and in all those edits.

Also, first schmuck to block me - at the time I tried to talk to him about it via email, still being naive and all, and then quickly realized that I was talking to an immature idiot. Apparently that hasn't changed in the past 7 years.

You're far from the only person to receive such treatment from Mr. Allen. Like OrangeMike, he's a completely loose cannon, and really needs to be kicked out.
I figure that at least 20% of his blocks were improper or completely false. But he's a minor figure overall--OrangeMike or MuzeMike make him look trivial.

And they're all middle-of-the-road, when it comes to blocking. Look at Materialscientist's block log sometime. Almost 38,000 accounts blocked.....

Now arbitrator, he's identified himself as Todd M. Allen. From the American southwest IIRC.

Yeah, another cheap, rancid Wikipedia cyberbully. By the Guido Reni painting and subtitle on his talkpage though, he envisions his adminship as a beautiful angel warrior meting out severe treatment to "misbehavers."

I noticed where several years ago, he called for inclusion of a particularly large, graphic "autofellatio" picture in its Wikipedia article: https://archive.is/MRUkZ. That link is safe for work, it's just a diff. The article itself is not safe. The picture in the article today, while bad and explicit enough, utterly pales against the one he wanted back then. No mention was made by Todd M. Allen or any of the others of a need for child protection measures if Wikipedia was going to promulgate this stuff. In case you didn't know, "autofellatio" means "guy sucks his own penis."

Good grief. An admin should consider replacing the original link in this thread with a permalink. How did that guy ever become an unblockable?

Let's preserve it here. I assume that he has no objection to people selling porn that they did not produce, or sending it via e-mail.
Talk about chilling effects. I'm just waiting for them to try to prosecute someone for what essentially amounts to linking to a sexual image that was already made. I have enough faith in the courts that they would recognize that, first, linking to an already-made photo cannot in any reasonable sense be construed as "producing" it, and that secondly, imposing "record keeping" requirements on a downstream reuser that they have no hope of fulfilling amounts to de facto censorship of such speech/reuse and violates the First Amendment. Your German case, on the other hand, is frightening. Someone who speaks German and doesn't live in Germany needs to register a deep-anonymity account and be given ipblock-exempt so they can help with that. It's sad it would come to that in a First World, purportedly "free" country. Seraphimblade Talk to me 19:06, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

Poor Kolya, whom the Blade kicked out into the cold for Christmas, has been unblocked. For the moment I haven't seen any movement from 'em so it's not clear whether the Jólakötturinn (T-H-L) had a good snack, or if the good butternut got spit back up, is frozen, thawing, etc.

The "community" gave the Blade nearly 48 hours to correct his disruptive block, but nothin' doin' -- infallibility being what it is. I assume he'll be desysopped any minute now. I wonder if W?F -sysbot has flown off somewhere for the holidays?

Seraphimblade won't lose admin status - they're part of the untouchables.

Also lol at Drmies saying there's no consensus for a 2-way iBAN when pretty much all of the above people commenting say that it should be a 2-way iBAN.

Ay. Drmies reading of that consensus...was Odd. Like: No-one opposed the suggestion of The 2-Way Iban at all, except Specifico of course.

I do bet that specifico does Garner Numerous pissed-off peeps just with that Bullshit capitalization thing he does. In this case, it did work against him: It makes it nice and easy to See how he did not post a thing for two days despite Saying he would reply in Nine Hours  :D

Nothing unusual about Drmies protecting Specifico.

If you never expect anything from Mies van der Groan, you'll never be disappointed.
