According to Barkeep49, 'Framming' is
now a verb, after Joe Roe
said on WP:AN that
TheAnome (T-C-L) had been 'Frammed'...
Joe Roe wrote:Nobody enjoys being frammed... That'd be basically asking for a framming for myself
Infinitive: To Fram. I fram, you fram, he/she/one frams, etc.
It could be reflexive also: He Frams himself. As Fram did, a few years ago

Fram never showing here is actually one of the biggest surprises in the history of this site.

Well at least Roe's comments have enough context you can figure out what being frammed means.
Although it generally seems to start with people taking umbrage at any scrutiny their direction, because Anome complains Fram took him to ANI instead of... talking about it on the talk page. Where Fram did start the discussion, and Anime's response was "why aren't you focused on deleting someone else's poor work instead of my poor work?"

Sounds like personal attacks to me. He should take Joe to AN/I.

Maybe Fram is short for framistan.
From a 1984 New York Times article:
JUST THE THING TO MEET DEMAND FOR A WIDGET
The New York Framistan Corporation makes framistans at 10 factories in different cities from Buffalo to Albany. It sells them at 20 stores, in cities from New York to Easthampton, and it has a fleet of trucks to pick up the framistans as they roll off the assembly line.
Simple as this hypothetical case is, it confronts the company with a basic problem in linear programming - the kind of problem that makes Narendra Karmarkar's discovery so interesting to a variety of industries.
To satisfy consumer demand for framistans while keeping trucking costs as low as possible, how should the output of each factory be spread among the different stores?
Each store meets its demand with a certain quantity of framistans from each factory, and these quantities can vary. So the quantities shipped from a particular factory to a particular store are the problem's variables - for example, the quantity produced in Buffalo and shipped to East Hampton. Since there are 10 factories and each factory ships to 20 stores, the number of variables is 10 times 20, or 200.

Archer's parents were from Scotland, but moved to Norway before his birth.
Archer himself (although not his children, IMS) very much kept Scottish.. There was a large diaspora of Scots around the North Sea and into the Baltic. Some of them remained English or Scots speakers for generations, and intermarried largely with other Scottish expatriates. (The same thing could be seen in the Maritimes and Newfistan, although there identifying as Canadian or Newfic, or both.) Some of this went all the way back to Knox and Vasa.

Credit where credit is due
"Framming"
I'm not sure how Fram felt about it given that they chose to reply to TheAnonme rather than you, but I felt "framming" to be a disrespectful verb. Barkeep49 (talk) 20:30, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

I don't know if disrespectful is the right term, but if I was Fram I'm not sure I'd be happy about "Framming" becoming a word. It does kind of single him out as the only person brave enough to do this sort of thing, which does not sound very appealing. I mean sure, it might mean that some people respect you, but everyone else is going to be on guard around you to the point of hostility.
Always improving...
