Evidently, community liaison is not necessarily a required ir even desired skill. It looks like a Wikipedia admin might be well suited. An absolute requirement is deep knowledge of “the wiki way” including extensive experience with MediaWiki, including the use of templates, modules, gadgets, etc. While this is not a developer role per se, the more you know about and can effectively support users doing advanced technical mediawiki work, the better.
A lesser requirement – desired but not required – is experience/education in journalism.

What are the odds that the 'winner' of this job is a young(er) woman that Jimbo wants to fuck?

Look, folks, let's not just automatically assume that everyone Jimbo hires is going to be an attractive young woman, and that he will automatically attempt to have some sort of steamy sexual affair with said woman once hired. I mean, it could instead be the sort of fumbling, awkward, barely-worth-mentioning affair that's typical of the British middle class - which Jimbo seems to aspire to membership in - and besides, how do we even know if anyone (regardless of gender) will actually take the job? Sure, there are lots of borderline-insane people around who might be desperate enough to work for someone with Jimbo's entrepreneurial track record, or even (yikes!) Jimbo himself, but like I always say, past performance is not always a reliable indicator of future embarrassment. He could easily surprise us - we just don't know.
So please, let's not risk making our readers all squishy and uncomfortable just because, you know, "we've seen it before." Unless of course we actually do want to set up some sort of betting pool on this, and maybe try to make some serious money off of it.

From WiredUK WikiTribune was a bold attempt to reinvent journalism. It didn't work.
On twitter, Jimmy is livid. He says, "This story has numerous errors and grave misrepresentations and needs some serious correction immediately." .According to other former staffers (who asked not to be named), that was not the project’s only miscalculation. They paint a picture of generalised improvisation and lack of direction, in which founders scrambled to chart a way forward while failing to grasp the practicalities of journalism and news-gathering. Wales wanted to rescue journalism, but, to his team, it was not clear whether he understood journalism in the first place.

In further analysis, WikiTribute was just another fumbling attempt from Wales to monetize soft headed altruists.
Plagued by incompetence and rife with Dunning Kruger, WikiTribute stumbled, inevitably, towards the trash can of Jimmy's bad ideas taking a bunch of other people's time and money with it into the abyss of perpetual project mismanagement.

Oh, so you mean to say that all the money Wikimedia makes all goes to people who aren’t actually doing the work? That’s an amazing margin maximization model.

This is especially true of the huge donations from Google and other large Internet firms. They are paying to avoid arguments about use of Wikipedia content. Such copyright as the content has does not belong to the WMF.I said all the people paid at wikimedia aren’t creating the content. That is a predatory model. In another not-stunning and entirely predictable news flash, impossible.com/labs, Lily Cole's tech venture that was supposed to power WikiTribune, is a 404.
Most of the WT links that were on the impossible.com are also 404.

How's that working out there, Jimbo?Quoted in the Stanford Social Innovation Review for Summer 2020, Wales said: "We're not doing a good job of actually exposing the best stuff on the platform. So that's kind of our next phase in evolution."[7] This approach involved highlighting contributions by public figures.[7]

Is there credible evidence that Marge Green, Gaetz, and Ted Cruze are members of a satanic cult in which they engage in obscene relations with underage roosters?
It is not surprising the GOQanon is resorting to transference considering the number of perverts in their midst. Trump. Graham, Gaetz, Jordan, Nunes.
Not all Republicans are perverts but a Univ study revealed that 98.76% of all perverts are Republican.

Jimmy Wales Solicits Donations for His Ad-Free Social Network
Huh, that's too bad."I need your help," reads an email that Jimmy Wales just sent to financial supporters of his ad-free social network, WikiTribune Social (which currently has 494,296 members):
All the problems in the world that I've set out to try to solve with WikiTribune Social are as bad as ever... WikiTribune has a different model. A strange model, to be sure, but it's one that I believe in. We don't want our platform to grow by focussing on having as many pageviews as possible by maximizing addiction and outrage. We want to build something that people like you care enough about to support voluntarily, financially. It's a "pay if you want" model. I've joked many times — it may not be a great business model to give things away and hope people will voluntarily support them — but this is how I've built my career so far!
We are severely short on funds

I don't see fundraising campaign making much of a difference. According to their stats page, there were all of 89 posts in the last 24 hours. About half of those were spam for software cracks or keygens. Lack of money isn't the problem. Lack of interest is the problem.
