outlook: IKS Wiki Will Be India's Indigenous Online Repository, All About Centre's New Move
The Centre has decided to create an online repository called IKS Wiki to provide information on topics related to India’s traditional knowledge and culture to the general public.
The government’s initiative will also involve students through an internship programme to contribute and engage with it, HT reported.
At this point is not clear to me whether the public will be able to edit the Wiki or not. I suspect not.The idea behind starting the IKS Wiki is to provide information in a simplified language that can be understood by the common people, the report stated.
“It will carry articles in multiple Indian languages as well as in English,” the report mentioned.
