Interesting discussion: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia ... 3-18/Op-ed (section "Computer equipment and office furniture")

Are they really spending twelve thousand dollars per employee every year on Computer equipment and office furniture? And will our heroes at the Wikipedia Signpost ever get the itemized accounting they are asking for? I am going to make some popcorn, sit back, and watch the fun.

:welcome:

What else can they do with all the donations they get? It's not as if they needed anything like that amount to run the WMF.

Still, I want to see an invoice what kind of office PC and office furniture you get for $36,000 per employee, just in case my idea  for creating a national calvinball league takes off and makes me rich. :pigsfly:

I covered this here: http://newslines.org/blog/stop-giving-wikipedia-money/
The same KPMG report says that Wikipedia spent $2.5 million of its budget on hosting, almost unchanged since 2013. A closer look at the reports line items shows that the WMF spent almost $684,000 on furniture. That’s almost $3200 per employee. Your donations are going to golden chairs.
