In March 2021 the commercial company NordVPN gave Wikimedia LGBT+ a gift of 10 subscriptions to its VPN service. Fae negotiated this gift. The context was Wikimedia LGBT+ contributors asking for suggestions on how to increase their privacy and security due to danger related to editing in the LGBT+ space. There is no broadly recommended Wikimedia guide for privacy, but this VPN offer seemed useful to explore.

They can't reveal that information without risking online harassment. Or say who attended meetings. And they need a group email. This has nothing at all to do with Fae, it's for everyone's safety and personal security. Of course, they have a member list so one has to wonder if there's something else going on.

Can't even do a rename without permission from the committee. The wording is a little clunky but the intent is clear:
