Did he renounce his US citizenship?

Can we put him on the no fly list already?

It makes sense, actually. Once Britain has finally gotten out of the EU, they'll need innovators and "idea guys" like Jimbo to teach their people new and creative ways to not make money.

Plenty of people hold both US and UK citizenship. Boris Johnson did until quite recently. Indeed, he only renounced his US citizenship after he found that he was liable for some US taxes.

You'd think he'd renounce his British citizenship after he found out how much easier the American tax code was on rich assholes...

Depends, if he has to flee the country for having committed high treason he may well end up with a job in the Trump administration.

No, I think that the issue was that he had to pay American capital gains tax when he sold a property although he was not liable for any such British tax.

It's often been said that Jimbo's dream is to live in a proper castle. Caernarfon castle would suit him very well. :D

Put our dilemma to him (on his talk page) Either hold Laura Hale to account after unvanishing her, OR be exiled to New Zealand where you will be forced to learn a new language, New Zealand English.

I have English relatives (mostly really old ones) and one of them who might be in a position to know whispered in my ear that Jimmy Wales is being researched (apparently they do some sort of background check) for an honor bestowed by the Queen.

It might be time to dust off the Jimbo files and build a blog post so there are fresh Google results. Perhaps 'Why Jimmy Wales should be Knighted' would be a good clickbait title.

"Sir Jimmy" has a nice ring to it.

The Queen would certainly not approve of his affair with Rachel Marsden (with his lame excuse that it was OK beause he regarded himself as separated from his wife), and might also object to his links to Bomis, so they might be mentioned.

Something on Elba, perhaps.

I assume he wants access to the National Health System now that he's getting up there in years.

If he's a resident with settled status, I don't think he needs to become a citizen to get NHS treatment.

I would imagine an MBE is pretty much inevitable.

An MBE is not a huge deal. They give out several hundred every year. A knighthood is a completely different matter.
