Part of the issue -- stop me if you've already heard this one -- appears to have been editwarring over her date of birth. Meanwhile, Jim Hawkins (radio presenter) (T-H-L) continues to exist...

Ms Parsons is surely notable by the usual WP standards, and an edit war is scarcely a reason to delete an article or we'd be down to well below a million articles. Perhaps. But I don't approve of public figures such as Lynn Parsons and Jim Hawkins being allowed absolute control over their own publicity. And nor is it entirely clear to me why anyone would be so easily persuaded that some anonymous IP is who (s)he claims to be.
