It's all very reminiscent of Oliver Keyes.

Vainglorious aspiring nerds with more than hints of hipster douchebaggery, lacking sufficient steel in their souls for a direct skirmish, commit wiki-blasphemy by engineering to harpoon their own white whales using ephemeral homunculi purpose built for said endeavor.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain... Time... to die.

I don't want to see them when scrolling. I usually use an IPad, a crappy piece of technology, and it's hard not to see them, but I think they were posted with purpose, so leaving them up while hatting/hiding seems appropriate.

Hey, here's a thought:

As long as you're spending all this time talking about Ryan, a guy usually ignored in the past by WR and WO regulars, why don't you write up a biography of him, and his Wikipedia and WMF activities, for posterity?

Will the WMF never stand up and do the right thing?
Do they feel their hands are tied since wikipediocracy uncovered this night soil in their midst?

How about night soil resultant from a really out of hand drinking and chili eating contest?

Hopefully, Ryan will finally serve a useful purpose as an example to future WMF employees. This would stand in stark relief of his prior history which has consisted of a melange of pointless asshattery and ennui.

Now all we lack is someone within the WMF management in possession of: a brain, a spine and a strong set of ethics.

Might as well search for a virgin at AEE

Yeah, nice work Viggo. Hoist by his own necrophile and "suicide-tragedy-belittling" petard, Ryan Corbett Kaldari is. Any qualms I might have yet had about the publicly examination of this specimen disappeared somewhere the sock-based, trumped-up WP:AN/ANI civility complaint on his foe, the fact that he is paid by the charity I once contributed to, and the truly objectionable Jon Benet Ramsey death satire entry at his website.

I was ready to defend him with a "perhaps this site was a youthful reaction to an unfortunate event in his life when he was younger; after all, many people do things as teenagers that they didn't quite think all the way through". And maybe it was, but if it was, he clearly hasn't moved past it.

His whiny interactions with bloggers and Internet pundits when he thrust himself into the limelight by putting his face on the fundraising drive tell me that he's no more mature now than he was in 2002 through 2005. His livejournal is informative, if sadly depressing.

Nice job Vigilant. I checked for myself using whois, and you're right, it's Kaldari's site. Most companies have some kind of "bringing the company into disrepute" clause in their employment contracts. I wonder if the WMF does?

If you get a chance, ask Ryan what he was arrested for in New York in 2004. Or how he feels about being circumcised. The astute observer will notice that he's edited articles related to circumcision early in his career.

This item from his Livejournal (21 December 2004) is amusing, and further explains why he's A-OK with the Wikipedians.
I had a weird dream last night. Zoe and I had been hired to work for Lyndon LaRouche. He was trying to attract younger people into his political flock, so he wanted us to come up with ideas for how he could appeal more to radical youth. Zoe and I were both convinced that he was a total wingnut, but we played along since we were getting paid to be political consultants and plus it was kind of amusing to see what we could convince him to go along with. We told him that young people were really into queer politics and that if he wanted to attract young radicals he was going to have to give up the homophobic rhetoric and embrace queer politics. We convinced him to make the symbol of his upcoming presidential campaign a dildo. Although reluctant at first, he eventually embraced the idea as his own. He decided he would have buttons and t-shirts printed up that said "LaRouche" over a picture of a dildo. This gave Zoe and I no small amount of amusement.

Unbelievable, quite unbelievable, even for WMF-people.

Lets see:
Here we have a guy, complaining that Corbett is belittling the suicide of a Wikipedian..and it turns out he has run a web-site "Snuffster, Go out with a bang" ...for 10+ years, which, during all this time has invited you to "Create your own Snuffster page, where you can share your last thoughts and wishes before being killed. It's easy, free, and fun!"

The word "hypocrisy" does not even start to cover his behaviour.

And this is the "poster-guy" for WMF....used for getting people to donate to WMF
:rotfl:

His other web-site, angelblade.com, have some interesting pages, too, from its 15 years history. But only from 2005 and earlier, where we learn from 1999 that Ryan Smith has almost 4 years of experience designing and implementing commercial websites, along with extensive experience in graphic design and 3-D rendering. He is currently studying to earn a Bachelor's Degree at Watkin's Institute of Art and Design in Nashville. .....which had not changed in 2005.

Someones are suggesting he be blocked, others arguing to protect him.

Time for a block?[edit]
Is there any real argument against blocking, really? Do you really need to consult the endless WP:* arcana of rules and essays and policies to tell you that this is an a) deceptive and b) disgusting human being that no one in their right mind should wish to be associated with? I realize this runs counter to the hipster/libertarian streak that permeates much of this websites these days, one that loathes to ban people just because they believe in or advocate distasteful thing. But seriously, a WMF staffer masquerading socks and operating a faux snuff site has to be a scale-tipper here. Tarc (talk) 00:33, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
