Re: New BBCode
Fixed box BBCode, cleaned up 'Post Reply' box by taking off (but not deleting) seldom used codes.
If you're missing your favorite, let me know.

Re: New BBCode
Were you just bored, or has this been bothering you for a while?
Admittedly, I haven't been following the phpBB forums much lately, so it's fair to say I've been a lazy sod who should have been doing things like this all along. Anyway, nice job! Thanks!

Re: New BBCode
Not having functional Youtube embedding has bothered me for months. The server we have now doesn't chug so much when tasked as the previous incarnation did, so I figured removing the 'hide' part of the Youtube embed was now feasible, and then found better code for the 'view' part.Midsize Jake wrote: ↑Thu Feb 02, 2023 6:48 amWere you just bored, or has this been bothering you for a while?

Besides, one person can't do EVERYTHING.

Re: New BBCode
I have a vague memory about being delighted when I learned that someone had created a code to link to non-English wikipedias with the WPARTICLE tag, but I can't find the post... Maybe I was dreaming that ChatGPT posted a hallucination?

Re: New BBCode
You can just use
":prefix:article name" inside of WPARTICLE.
E.g.
Halluzination (T-H-L)
:simple:Hallucination (T-H-L)
Hallucination (T-H-L)
Or were you looking for something else?

Re: New BBCode
That was me, but it was for users, not articles — the tag is【neluser="lc"】 (where "lc" is the two-letter language code/subdomain) instead of "wpuser." So, for the German user/Benutzer Heidi-O:
Heidi-O (T-C-L)
I guess we could do one for articles too, but it's not like anyone has actually used this one, so...

Re: New BBCode
That's great, I appreciate you posting it here. I imagine user links are so much more complicated because of the language difference in the prefix User: / Benutzer: / Lankide: etc.: Is there a two-letter prefix for commons? (a link to the Bouncer could occasionally be useful.)
For WPARTICLE, Rnu's solution is perfect.

Re: New BBCode
Thanks yet again! This thread will be useful if I can just remember which keywords to search for to pull up global contributions and foreign language links.
Maybe "video of WP:ANI"
Maybe "video of WP:ANI"

Re: New BBCode
I didn't even think about this (it's been a while), but 【neluser="commons"】and【neluser="simple"】both work too, it doesn't have to be just two letters. (Mr. Rnu's method might be easier though, in many if not most cases.)
Here's Mr. Corbett on Commons:
