I'm neither opposed to infoboxes nor zealous about adding them. One of my favorites is the one another editor added to Attallah Shabazz (T-H-L), an article I wrote. While the infobox contains no disinformation, it also conveys almost no information that's not in the two-sentence lead section.

In my experience, much of what the press reports is vaguely right and still wrong in many of the particulars. I don't think it's getting better or worse, but the budgets are getting smaller and the shortening of the news cycle has led to a greater rush to publish information that hasn't been edited....
