Re: Nihonjoe Has Been Naughty
The implicit idea, floated by some, that Arbcom would have applied the same level of scrutiny in this case had no AN thread been made and all the evidence had been sent to them privately, is preposterous. Comments from several Arbs in the AN thread and in the initial case request make it very clear ...

Re: News from RFA
Proposal 13, admin elections, has a stunningly high level of support as of now, with a whopping six-to-one support/oppose ratio, and a third of the opposes being either weak or conditional. Stunning because RfA reform proposals historically basically never get that kind of overwhelming consensus, ev...

The reason TNW stopped participating is that they tried participating at first and that apparently made it worse. When talking appears to be making the problem worse, it’s time to shut up, and to TNW’s credit that’s what they did.

The last 43 votes are 35 support 8 oppose for 81%, so this doesn’t seem like it’s quite in “inevitable crat chat” territory just yet.
I’d agree with those saying that TNW’s comment to Tamzin was perhaps a tad patronizing but far from disqualifying, even if arguably somewhat doubled down on in Q9.

Leyo and TheresNoTime would have trouble due to recent Arbcom admonishments. Leyo in particular would almost definitely fail an RfA that started today. Mzajac and Bbb23 Wheel War
Case filed by arbitrator Guerillero: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case#Mzajac_and_Bbb23_Wheel_War In a nutshell: Mzajac created a page, an admin deleted it, Mzajac undeleted it, and Bbb23 redeleted it. The evidence shows that emails went out and then, shortly after, the exact requested edits were made. We are talking in some cases word for word copies. For all three users named, this happened enough times to consider sanctions. For the "some cases" of genuinely word-for-word copies Guerillero men...

For someone lacking admin/crat/functionary status, I think it’s most likely an order to show cause as to why the user should not be indef Arbcom blocked.
Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s WPO related, by the way, with that being the most logical reason for this to be an Arbcom matter.

We've got preliminary results. My prediction of all but Wugapodes and Robert McClennon making it appears to be correct. Pretty dismal showing for the incumbents compared to most years, though it's still short of a total repudiation. No incumbent cracking the top 60%, and one of them being unseated o...

This delay is definitely getting pretty "bad" now. Even assuming the results are released today, the new Arbs are going to have very little time to get acclimated to things like the mailing list and arbwiki before their term begins (assuming access to those is usually granted before the term starts).

CV’s response at the RFAR is typical of admin parties to Arbcom cases in that it increases her odds of being desysopped and accomplishes little else.
