Also, with the weird rules and guidelines about notability, there's more chance of an article about a mathematics professor being deleted than one about someone who's played one game ...

I don't think he's any more (or less) of a pornographer than Jimbo, except that he was rather more financially successful. Photos seem to be completely exempt from the usual rules about reliable sources and original research. Stick up a photo, say what it is and the chances are that nobody will query it.
