I've previously said that at RfCs to change RfA or make the desysop process easier, all views of admins should be given lower weight in the discussion because of a conflict of interest. It did not go down well.

There's an article here Australian Dictionary of Biography (T-H-L). Assuming it's the Australian equivalent of the Dictionary of National Biography (T-H-L), it's probably generally reliable, although there have been criticisms of bias and lack of updates.

The roads thing is weird to me, in that I feel like there is for sure a trend of obsessive behavior and over-describing every single bend and turn in a road, and yet, when you actually find errors and try to help make the content better, in my experience anyway, the result is ...crickets... nothing...

The roads people are among the most insane on en.wp. Yeah, but come on, Wikipedia does need in-depth coverage of all the major areas of human knowledge... Arts, Sciences, Humanities, Roads... It also doesn’t need people who flounce when others disagree with them or consensus doesn’t go their way.
