Ok Lilbure, thats fair enough, my apologies. In this I think WP:MERDS is one of the most important projects on wiki, but its severly understaffed and an uphill struggle. There are some good wiki people out there, same basic worries as you have but its a loosing and never ending battle.

Shakespeare isnt a great example Peter; its a featured article, and they tend to be more or less static after promotion, provided the guys behind it are still around. Though I agree with the trust of the point; 99.99% of of what appears on my watchlist is categories, linking, vandalism, dabs and that.
