He may be under the impression that the case can’t proceed if he doesn’t appear. There’s some truth to that under the Sixth Amendment but a defendant can’t deprive the state of a fair trial by not appearing, so they have Ways of making him cooperate no matter how disruptive he is.

Yeah that happens. All T-Mobile LTE users in the US are blocked too for over a year - it used to be the kind of block where you’d get autoblocked if you edited from an account within the range but I think they’ve fixed that.
