Wow, that article is terrible. Almost nothing about the man's life in general, just the bad shit he did recently. Shameful. Wikipedia really needs to stop covering current news events.

Re: Crap articles
Most of WP's articles on human emotions leave a lot to be desired. Guilt_(emotion) (T-H-L) starts out OK, then degrades into blathering on about white privilege and crap. Ecstasy_(emotion) (T-H-L) is a quote-a-thon, with hardly any scholarly analysis. Embarrassment (T-H-L) spends too much time on politics, etc.

Cunt is the only swear word left in the English language that still has any meaning or power, at least where I live. I don't really care if somebody me calls it, though - I think SWs in general are annoying.

It's interesting how JW is the "public face" of Wikimedia, when he hardly ever contributes to it - and, quite often, gets some things wrong. i.e., last time I checked, he only created 22 articles on the site. That's not exactly advancing human knowledge, right? On Commons, I believe he lost his powe...

Maybe I'm a an anomaly, but I'm not a huge fan of how the Internet has made its way into our everyday lives. It's a tad dehumanizing. The Internet can be regulated (to get rid of CP, for example), but over censoring of the Internet and using 'filters" is just wrong. The UK government is doing this a...

When I hear Jimbo telling a journalist that his company is going to "put the pedal to the metal", I am reminded of another time he told a journalist about Wikia Search, "We're just cranking away." Days later everyone working on Wikia Search was fired, and Wales shut down the site. Out of all people...

Wikipedia propping itself up as an "free-culture encyclopedia" means that what's said on there matters as far things like defamation and libel go. If WP didn't take itself so seriously, it would put a lot of pressure off the editors, admins, and the WMF's backs.

A trenchant observation, but not a new one. Wikipidiots take themselves far too seriously. Yep. This has its roots, at least partly, in Jimbo's bombastic "sum of all knowledge" bullshit.
